The Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the APSCHE released the Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (APEdCET) counseling notification 2023 on January 31, 2024. The exam conducting authority released the detailed notice on its official website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in.

Candidates can get the details of the APEdCET 2024 schedule here as well. The APEdCET 2023 counseling registration started on January 31, 2024, and ended on February 6, 2024. The classes commenced on February 19, 2024.

What is the APEdCET exam?

APEdCET exam will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The official notification for APEdCET 2024 has been released by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

What is APEdCET?

The Andhra Pradesh Education Common Entrance Test (APEdCET) is conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).

APEdCET 2024 counselling dates will be released by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on the official website. APEdCET 2024 counselling will be held to provide admission to BEd/BEd Special Education colleges. To register for the web counselling process, candidates need to enter their hall ticket and rank. Notably, the counselling fee for OC/BC candidates is INR 1200. Meanwhile, for SC/ST/PH candidates it is INR 600.

The exam conducting authorities will release the APEdCET 2023 counselling schedule soon at the official website of the exam. APEdCET Eligibility 2024

Aspirants meet APEdCET 2024 eligibility criteria if they fulfill the below-mentioned criteria:

  • Are Indian nationals
  • Fulfil Local/Non-Local status requirements as stated in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974 as subsequently amended.

APEdCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification

  • Aspirants should have cleared/appeared for their final year examination for BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM at the time of APEdCET 2024 application form submission
  • Aspirants should have secured at least 50 per cent marks either in the bachelor’s degree, that is, BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BCA/ BBM and/ or in the master’s degree in relevant subject or in a five-year integrated course in the relevant subject or any other equivalent qualification. Candidates belonging to reserved categories, that is, SC, ST, BC and physically handicapped, are eligible to apply for the exam if they have secured at least 40 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.

APEdCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit

  • Aspirants meet APEdCET eligibility criteria if they have completed 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which the exam notification has been issued. There is no maximum age limit.

Note: The candidates who passed BE/ BTech with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and studied Mathematics and Physics are eligible for admission into the course.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for Andhra Pradesh EdCET 2023 exam?

A:

In order to apply for Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam, candidates were required to have passed the qualifying exam with minimum 50% marks. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria were supposed to fill the application form by visiting the official website of the exam. Candidates can check the APEdCET eligibility criteria as per educational qualification below:

Q:   Is there any age limit in Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam?

A:

Candidates are considered eligible for the Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam if they meet the eligibility criteria and have completed 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which the exam notification has been issued. There is no maximum age limit for the exam. Meanwhile, the candidates who passed BE/ BTech with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and studied Mathematics and Physics are eligible for admission into the course.

 

Q:   Can candidates from other states also apply for Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2023?

A:

No, candidates from other states cannot apply for the Andhra Pradesh EDECET 2023 exam. The Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2023 exam is conducted only for the students who have domicile in Andhra Pradesh and have resided in Andhra Pradesh for at least 10 years or candidates whose parents, or spouses are State/Central Government employees or working in Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Government owned Universities and other quasi-public institutions in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

 

APEdCET Admission Process

The admission process through the APEdCET exam includes the following steps:

  • APEdCET application form: Candidates need to fill APEdCET 2024 application form on the official website of the entrance test. With the application form, aspirants do not need to upload any certificates/ documents. Candidates can pay the APEDCET 2023 application fee of INR 600 through AP Online/ debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
  • APEdCET hall ticket: Aspirants can download the APEdCET 2024 admit card from the official website of the exam. The admit card for APEdCET contains the aspirant’s name, roll number, and test center details.
  • APEdCET exam: The APEdCET exam is divided into three parts – Part A, Part B, and Part C. The first two sections, that is, Part A and Part B contain common questions for all aspirants. Part C contains questions depending on the course/ subject selected by candidates. The APEdCET exam is of two hours duration.
  • APEdCET result: Aspirants need to view APEdCET 2024 result on the official website of the exam. To check APEdCET result aspirants need to type their hall ticket and registration number on the official exam website. Once the result for APEdCET 2024 is declared, candidates can download their rank cards from the official website. APEdCET rank is valid for one year.

Q:   When was the official notification for APEdCET 2023 released?

A:

The official notification for APEdCET 2023 exam is usually released in the month of March. For this academic session, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, the exam conducting body released the official notification for the state-level teaching aptitude APEdCET at the official website of the exam on March 22. The official notification consisted of complete details related to exam, application, admit card, answer key and more. Candidates can get all the details related to APEdCEt 2023 exam dates and related events on this page as well as on APEdCET official website.

 

Q:   When is Andhra Pradesh EdCET 2023 application process held?

A:

AP EdCET 2023 application process has closed. However, the APEdCET 2023 application form submission last date without late fee was extended from April 23 to  May 15. The exam conducting body also revised the complete exam schedule for Andhra Pradesh EdCET 2023 exam. Andhra Pradesh EdCET 2023 application form released on March 24 on the official website of the exam. Interested candidates were supposed to visit the official website of the exam to fill the application form. For the new academic session, application process will start after the session end.

 

Q:   When is Andhra Pradesh EdCET exam 2023 conducted?

A:

AP EdCET exam isusually held in the month of June by the exam conducting body. For this academic session, APEdCET exam was held on June 14. Earlier, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam also revised the exam dates to third week of June from May 20. Later, the complete revised exam schedule for APEdCET was released by the exam conducting body at the official website of the exam i.e., cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. Candidates were supposed to check the official website of the exam to know about APEdCET exam related dates or this page.

 

APEdCET Application Form 2024

APEdCET Application Form 2024

The APEdCET application form 2024 will be released on its official website and will have to be filled in online mode only. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria will be able to fill out the application form of APEdCET till the last date. 

The following steps have to be followed in order to successfully fill out the APEDCET 2024 application form.

Step 1 - Visit the official website and create an account.

Step 2 - Log in using the credentials and fill up the application form.

Step 3 - Add in all the important details such as the name, date of birth, nationality, education qualification, etc. Proceed with filling in all the information carefully

Step 4 - Pay the application fee in online mode using a Debit/Credit card or UPI.

Step 5 - Aspirants also get to check the success or failure of the APEdCET application form they have filled.

Step 6 - Once the form is filled successfully, students must download the PDF for future reference.

APEDCET 2023 Application Fee

In order to successfully fill the application form of APEDCET 2024 aspirants will have to pay the application fee as well. The application fee for APEDCET 2023 is different as per the categories - For Other Backward Classes, it is INR 500, for SC/ST it is INR 450 while for all other cases,  it is INR 650.

AP EDCET 2024 Admit Card

The AP EDCET 2024 admit card is released by the exam conducting authority on its official website. Only those candidates who successfully fill out the application form are eligible to download the admit card. The admit card is released at least 15 days before the exam. Aspirants need to carry the admit card to the exam centre along with a valid photo ID proof or else they will not be able to appear in the exam.

The APEDCET admit card consists of important information about the candidate as well as the exam center such as - the candidate’s name, scanned photograph and signature, candidate's roll number, their registration number, APEDCET exam date, APEDCET exam time, exam center and instructions to be followed on the day of the exam.

APEDCET Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of APEdCET consists of the subject, marking scheme, and the total number of questions on which the question paper of APEDCET will be based. As per AP EDCET 2024, the exam duration is 2 hours and the question paper will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions. The question paper will be divided into four parts: Part 1 - General English, Part 2 - General Knowledge, Part 3 - Teaching Aptitude and Part 4 - Methodology.

APEdCET 2024 Result

APEdCET 2024 Result will be released by the exam conducting body. Candidates who appeared for the exam will be able to visit the official website to check and download the APEdCEt rank card 2024. Ahead of the APEdCET Result, the answer keys will also be released. To check the results, candidates will have to fill in their registration and hall ticket numbers in the provided fields. APSCHE Seat Reservation

The exam conducting authority reserves some seats on the basis of rules and regulations prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh State Government. As per the seat reservation policy, 85% of seats are reserved for local students while 15% is for the unreserved category.

Q:   Has the authorities made any changes in the exam pattern of Andhra Pradesh EdCET 2023?

The exam pattern for APEdCET 2023 was released by the exam conducting body Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, ahead of the exam. The APEdCEt exam was held on June 14. Q:   What is the qualifying marks in the APEdCET entrance test?

A:

As per the official brochure, the qualifying marks in Andhra Pradesh EdCET (except for SC/ST category candidates) are 37 out of total marks. For SC/ST category candidates, there will be no qualifying marks for ranking. However, candidates can check the APEdCEt marking scheme as well here. In APEdCET exam, one mark is allotted for every correct answer in the exam. There is no negative for an incorrect answer in the exam.

 

Q:   Is there any model paper or sample papers released by the authorities for Andhra Pradesh EdCET?

A:
