TSEdCET 2024:  The exam conducting authorities, Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda will release the TSEdCET counseling schedule soon. Candidates who qualify in the exam as per the TSEdCET Result 2024 will be eligible to appear in the counseling post which they will be allotted the colleges as per their merit list and choice. The exam body declared the TSEdCET result 2024 on June 11, 2024. Candidates who appeared in the exam conducted on May 23, 2024 (Thursday) can check their qualification status by logging in using their credentials - hall ticket number and date of birth. The results of TSEdCET 2024 have been declared on its official website - edcet.tsche.ac.in/TSEDCET. Before this, the exam body released the answer key of TSEdCET 2024 and candidates were able to send their objections to the Mahatma Gandhi University by May 29, 2024. What is TS EdCET?

Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET) is conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). The exam will be conducted in online mode (Computer Based Test) to offer admissions to candidates in two-year BEd courses offered at the Colleges of Education in the state of Telangana.

TSEdCET Admit Card 2024

The exam body released the admit card of TSEdCET 2024 on May 20, 2024. Candidates who successfully submitted the application form have been issued the admit card of TSEdCET 2024 to appear in the exam. The TSEdCET exam was conducted on May 23, 2024. To download the TSEdCET 2024 admit card candidates will have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as the registration number and date of birth.

Steps to download the GTSEdCET admit card 2024 - 

Step 1: Visit the official website of TSEdCET - https://edcet.tsche.ac.in/TSEDCET/EDCET_HomePage.aspx.

Step 2: Click on the Download Hall Ticket button.

Q:   How do I download my TSEdCET admit card?

A:

To download the admit card of the TSEdCET 2024, candidates need to visit the official website - edcet.tsche.ac.in, log in using your credentials, navigate to the admit card section, and download your hall ticket. Candidates must ensure that they carry the printout of the admit card on the exam day along with onel valid phot ID proof like aadhar card, voter ID, PAN card or driving license etc.

 

Q:   What happens if I forget to bring my TSEdCET admit card to the exam center?

A:

Candidates who fail to bring their Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EDCET) admit card to the exam hall will not be permitted allowed to appear in the exam. It is essential to carry the TSEdCET admit card 2024 which serves as proof of candidate identity and eligibility to take the exam. They must carry the admti card along with oen valid photo ID proof like aadhar card, voter card, PAN card or driving license along with a couple of passport size photographs.

 

TS EdCET Eligibility 2024

To fulfil TSEdCET 2024 eligibility criteria candidates should meet the below-mentioned requirements:

Nationality/locality 

  • All candidates applying for the TSEdCET exam should be Indian nationals
  • All candidates should satisfy local/ non-local status requirements as specified in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) Order 1974

Age limit

  • Candidates should be a minimum of 19 years of age as of July 1 of the year in which TSEdCET notification is out
  • There is no maximum age limit required to appear for the TSEdCET exam

Educational Qualification

  • All candidates should clear their graduation in BA/ BSc/ BSc (Home Science)/ BCom/ BE/ BTech/ BCA/ BBM or post-graduation in the relevant subject or five-year integrated course in the relevant subject of methodology or any other equivalent qualification with at least 50 per cent aggregate marks. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ BC (A/B/C/D/E)/ PH category minimum marks required in the qualifying exam is 40 per cent.
  • Candidates securing a minimum of 55% marks in BE/ BTech with Science/Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply
  • Candidates who have cleared MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS/ BL/ LLB/ BA (Languages)/ BOL and any other such professional course are not eligible for BEd admissions via TSEdCET

Physical Sciences

  • Candidates who have cleared BSc / BE/ B Tech with Physics and Chemistry/ Allied Material Sciences as one of the subjects. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) as a subject in Class XII.

Biological Sciences

  • Candidates who have cleared BSc / BSc (Home Science) with Botany and Zoology/ Allied Life Sciences as Part-II group subjects. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Biological Sciences as a subject in Class XII.

Social Studies

  • Candidates who hold a BA/ BCom/ BBM degree. OR
  • Candidates who have cleared BCA with Social Sciences as a subject in Class XII. 

English

  • Candidates who have done BA Special English/ BA English Literature/ MA English.

Q:   Is there any age limit to apply for TSEdCET exam?

A:

Yes, there is an age limit to apply for the TSEdCET exam as prescribed by the Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of TSCHE. According to the eligibility criteria set by the exam body, candidates must be of a minimum of 19 years of age to apply for the exam. However, there is no upper age limit for the TS EdCET exam.

 

Q:   What is the duration of TSEdCET?

A:

As per the TSEdCET exam pattern, the duration of the TSEdCET exam is 2 hours. During this time, there are a total of 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions of 150 marks that candidates need to answer. The exam will be conducted in computer-based online mode.

 

TSEdCET Admission Process 2024

The admission process through the TSEdCET 2024 exam includes the following steps:

  • TS EdCET application form: For TSEdCET 2024 registrations, candidates were supposed to fill out the application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. The TSEdCET 2024 application fee of INR 650 also needs to be paid in online mode.  
  • TS EdCET admit card: After the application forms are filled and submitted successfully, candidates were supposed to download their TSEdCET 2024 admit card/ hall ticket from the official website of the exam. Candidates can download the admit card by entering their registration number and date of birth on the TSEdCET website.
  • TS EdCET exam: Next, candidates need to appear for the B.Ed entrance exam at the allotted TSEdCET 2024 exam centre. TSEdCET 2024 exam will contain multiple-choice questions of 150 marks that candidates need to complete in two hours.

  • TS EdCET resultTSEdCET 2024 result has been declared on the official website of the exam. A candidate scoring at least 25 per cent marks (that is, 38 marks) will qualify for the education common entrance test. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category and women candidates appearing for Physical Sciences/ Mathematics methodology there are no minimum marks required to qualify for the exam, informs the official website.
  • TS EdCET rank card: A separate rank list will be prepared for each methodology wherein candidates will be ranked based on marks secured in the exam. Candidates can download their TSEdCET 2024 rank card from the official website of the exam.
  • TS EdCET counselling: Lastly, candidates need to appear for a web-based TSEdCET 2024 counselling session. Here, candidates will be allotted seats at the Colleges of Education in Telangana State in their respective methodologies according to their rank.

The TSEdCET application form for the examination will be available in online mode only and in order to successfully submit the application form they will have to pay the application fee in online or else their candidature will be rejected at the later stage. 

 

Q:   What is the application fee for TSEdCET exam?

A:

As mentioned in the official notification released by the exam body Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda on behalf of TSCHE the application fee for the TSEdCET exam is INR 650 for General/other categories and INR 450 for SC/ST candidates. Candidates need to fill the TSEdCET application form in online mode from the official website - edcet.tsche.ac.in, and pay the application fee to successfully submit the form.

 

Q:   Can I pay the TSEdCET application fee offline?

A:

No, aspirants can pay the application fee for TSEdCET via online mode only. The means through which aspirants can pay the fee is through Billdesk Gateway.
