No, APSET is not a recruitment exam, it is an eligibility exam. Candidates who clear the APSET exam become eligible to apply for the recruitment of Assistant Professors or Lecturers in the colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh SET exam only determines the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professors or Lecturers.

Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam conducts the APSET exam on behalf of the state government. The exam is held to certify candidates as Assistant Professors or Lecturers in the colleges or universities of the state.

Anshra University conducts the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as Assistant Professor or Lecturer. There is no limit on number of attempts.

Given below are some of the important eligibility criteria for the best BEd colleges Telangana:
- Educational Qualification: Candidates need to have completed their graduation in any stream (that is, Arts, Science, or Commerce) to fulfill B Ed eligibility criteria . However, most popular B Ed colleges allow candidates to take part in their admission process for B Ed courses if they have graduated with at least 50-55% aggregate marks at the UG level.

B.Ed is a professional programme designed for graduates or postgraduates; hence, those aspiring to become teachers after completing Class 12 can undertake a Diploma in Elementary Teaching. Upon completion of D.El.Ed, they can qualify as elementary teachers.

The APSET 2025 exam will be held soon. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam carries out the APSET exam in eight regional centres across the state. The Andhra Pradesh SET exam is conducted for 30 subjects. The APSET Paper 1 is common for all and for Paper 2, candidates need to choose a subject from the list of 30 subjects. The APSET Paper 1 is of 100 marks and Paper 2 is of 200 marks.
