The validity of UGC NET Certificate for Assistant Professors or lectureship in 2021 is valid for life. Students can benefit from the award letter anytime. However, for the award of a JRF (Junior Research Fellowship), the UGC NET e-Certificate remains valid for three years from the date of issue. However, according to the official website, the system was changed in 2022 so that the Certificate will be valid for 4 years from the date the UGC NET E-Certificate was issued. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the M.Phil and Ph.D. admissions processes in universities and higher education institutions have been postponed, commencing in March 2020. The validity of the UGC NET Certificate has been extended by up to four years for:
1- JRF Award Letter National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste (NFSC)
2- Maulana Azad National Fellowship
3- Minority Students' National Fellowship (MANF).
