There is no fixed time span for the Textile Engineering entrance preparation. It is better to start as early as possible. You should start preparing at least 8 -10 months advance. Try and cover the maximum syllabus and also go through a revision once. This will help you attempt more questions in the exam paper and increase your chances of scoring well and getting shortlisted for admission.

Based on overall reputation and placement opportunities, Material Science at IITK is generally considered the better option compared to Textile Engineering at IIT Delhi and Engineering Physics at IIT Roorkee, as Material Science tends to have broader applications and higher demand in the job market, especially if you choose a top-ranked IIT for this program.
