When it comes to the customization of the B Tech Textile Engineering syllabus, the core subjects leave no such scope, as they are foundational subject modules that you need to compulsorily study during the coursework journey to get hold of the important concepts and workings of the textile field.

Coming to the elective subject choices, you do have some room for customization, as you can choose the subjects as per your interests and basic understanding, the subjects that are scoring, easy to understand, and align with your future goals.

There is no fixed time duration to prepare for the BTech in Textile Engineering course, but it is generally recommended to start at least 8 to 10 months before the final entrance exam is tentatively scheduled to take place. This approach usually gives students an upper hand, as they can cover the maximum portion of the syllabus comfortably, practice previous year question papers, take mock tests, and go through a rigorous revision, increasing the chances of shortlisting.

Well, top colleges offering the BTech Textile Engineering course do need valid entrance exam scores with an excellent rank, but there are some colleges that also give admission on the basis of Class 12 board exam marks. Those colleges release merit cutoff lists and the shortlisted applicants are often called for an interview round, which serves as the final call for admission.

It is recommended to prepare for and give the entrance test to keep both options of admission to the course open with varied college choices to choose from.
