The Computer Science programme is one of the most popular ones at the University of British Columbia among international students. For the September intake, the general admission deadlines for the MSc in Computer Science at UBC are December 15th every year.
To have the best chances, it is important to apply early and with all the documents asked during the admission. This application deadline applies to the Vancouver and Okanagan Campuses.

Yes, there is a September intake at the University of British Columbia in Canada. This is popularly known as the Fall intake and it is the major intake when many of the UBC courses are offered.
There are two more intakes offered to international students, which are in January and a Summer one as well. however the course selection can be quite limited here.

Yes, as compared to the University of British Columbia, BCIT is much cheaper. The annual tuition fees at UBC is between INR 4.7 L – INR 63 L. On the other hand, the annual tuition fees at BCIT is between INR 5 L - 43.74 L. A comparison between these two is given below:

Justin Trudeau, pursued an degree in Education from UBC, having previously pursued a UG degree in English Literature from McGill.
Trudeau led the Liberal Party between 2013 & 2025, while also being a member of Parliament for Papineau from 2008 to 2025.
He was recently succeeded by Mark Carney.

Cost of Living at the University of British Columbia is high estimated at CAD 15, 000 to CAD 25, 000, Indian Rupees 9 Lacs to 15 Lacs per annum. Residence fees for the on-campus is CAD 10000 to 15000 per year which is roughly around 6 Lacs to 9 Lacs of INR. Food is estimated between CAD 3000 to CAD 5000 annually or about INR 180000 to INR 300000. Other expenditures such as transportation, entertainment etc., cost approximately CAD 2,000 to CAD 5,000 or INR 1.2 K to INR 3 K per year. In conclusion, for living expense, students should expect to spend anything from INR 90000/- to INR 150000/- per year while studying UBC.

The University of British Columbia is a well-known and high-ranking university located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
