Vanderbilt University's admission requirements for international students comprise of English proficiency exam score as a major entry requirements. However, students can manage to secure admission in VU without an ELP score if they meet at least one of the criteria listed below:

• Completed three of the last four educational years in a majority English-speaking curriculum; OR
• SAT score: 630 & Above in Evidence-based Reading and Writing section; OR
• ACT score: 26 & Above.

Students who do not have any English proficiency scores may submit an English-language portfolio which should include a short description of past English language studies or speaking experience and a letter of recommendation from an English teacher. However, prospective international students can study in SNHU without IELTS score if they provide at least one of the following documents listed below:

• Proof of a full academic year of high school in the U.S. with a passing grade in one year of standard English; OR
• Proof of successful completion of undergraduate post-secondary education in the US; OR
• Successful completion of the appropriate level based on current agreement terms at an English Pathway Partner; OR
• Successful completion of SNHU’s ESL program.
