Southern Illinois University Edwardsville admission requirements for international students include English proficiency exam score requirements. However, there are other ways in which overseas applicants can meet the SIUE language requirements and they are:

• A degree from a primarily English-speaking country; OR
• Standardized test scores; OR
• Successful completion of the SIUE Intensive English Pathway program; OR
• Academic records.

Students are eligible for the SIUE Intensive English Pathway programme if they meet the following score requirements:

• TOEFL: 5.0 (no band below 5.5);
• TOEFL: 45;
• ACT: English Test: 80.

International students are required to submit their English language proficiency test scores to show that they have a specified level of English language ability. The below table shows,  the University of Hertfordshire English language requirements for international students:

 The language of instruction at Brunel University London is English. Therefore, all international students whose first language is not English, are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Brunel University London accepts all the major English language test scores. The minimum English language test scores required for Brunel University London are:

• IELTS: Overall 6.0 with no band below 5.5
• TOEFL: Overall 79 with no band below 17
• PTE: Overall 59 with no band below 59

The submission will not be deemed complete until they obtain the results. Any one of these English proficiency tests is accepted:

·      IELTS – 6.0

·      Duolingo – 100

English language exam scores is one of the major Merrimack College's admission requirement and international students must submit it during the time of application. However, Merrimack does provide alternatives as it accepts SAT and ACT scores as proof of proficiency in the langauge. If students can fulfill the minimum score requirements listed below, they do not need to submit an IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/Duolingo score.
