UCEED consists of two parts:

  • Part A (Computer-based): Objective questions (NAT, MSQ, MCQ)

  • Part B (Pen-and-paper): Drawing and design aptitude questions

UCEED 2026 Applications for the B.Des programme is released by IIT Bombay on the official site, October 01, 2025. The application form is available on the official website of UCEEED. The UCEED Entrance Exam 2026 will be conducted on January 18, 2026 (Sunday).

UCEED 2026 question paper will have two parts. Part A will be online and Part B will be offline. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Question and Multiple Choice Question. Part B will have sketching and drawing questions.

The Part A of the UCEED question paper will include questions from Visualization and spatial ability, Observation and design sensitivity, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, Language and creativity, and Design thinking and problem solving topics. Note that IIT Bombay will release the detailed syllabus at the time of issue of the admission notification or sometime thereabout. The UCEED exam will have two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type NAT Multiple Select Question (MSQ), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Meanwhile, Part B will include drawing and aptitude-based questions. Note that in the previous edition of the exam, Part B include only sketching-based question. So, starting UCEED 2024, the candidate also needs to prepare for aptitude based questions that will be asked in Part B. Questions for the aptitude section will evaluate the ability of the candidate to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.
