Apart from the only national Open University IGNOU there are 13 state open universities, regular universities too, that offer distance learning programs through Directorates of Distance Education (DDE) or Centers of Distance Education (CDE). Such universities are identified as dual mode universities and are successfully serving the educational needs of thousands of students in India. Other open school universities which are accredited and are approved by UGC & AIU are also accepted by foreign universities. You may however be required to verify the certificates, credentials and should have transcripts as per rules of concerned institutions. Hope it helps.
