Created in the 1960s, with a current student population of around 16,000 students, University of York is relatively young and small. It's campus-based and collegiate - every student joins one of 11 colleges and lives in halls for at least their first undergrad year. As per former student's reviews getting involved in sports, societies and the student union are particularly easy, as they should be. Nightlife is great too, with a diverse range of both student and local events to attend.
