Yuvarajas College, University of Mysore has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| M.Sc. | Candidate must have completed graduation with mentioned marks in Mathematics as a cognate subject and 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects. |
| M.A. | Candidate must have passed with 40% marks in the aggregate of all subjects and mentioned marks in B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./BBA/BCA. Graduates who have secured at least 55% marks in the Language concerned in the degree course are also eligible. |
| B.Sc. | Candidate who has passed the Two-year Pre University Examination in Science subjects conducted by the Pre-University Board of Education in the State of Karnataka or any other examination considered equivalent by the College/University, is eligible. |
| BCA | All those candidates who have successfully completed +2 or PUC or equivalent are eligible for admission. |
| BBA | Candidates who have passed the Twoyear PreCommerce are University Examination in eligible to apply. |
| MBA/PGDM | Candidates must have passed Bachelor's degree of minimum of 3 years duration examination or equivalent and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks (45% of marks in case of SC, ST and Category-I of Karnataka candidates). Final year students can also apply on provisional basis. |

Maharaja's College, University of Mysore has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.Com | (i) A candidate who has passed 3 years Diploma in Commercial or Secretarial Practice conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is eligible for admission to Third Semester B.Com/B.B.A. directly. However, such a candidate has to pass the languages and other Compulsory Papers viz., Constitution of India and Environmental Studies of first two semesters. Such candidates will not be subjected to any IA in these papers. However, for eventual calculation of 80 marks is equated to 100 marks. (ii) A candidate who has passed 3 years Diploma in Business Administration conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is eligible for admission to Fifth Semester B.B.A./B.Com.
