Yes, the University Institute of Technology (UIT), Burdwan has a proper placement cell. Regular recruitment drives, workshops and training for developing employability in students are conducted.

The placement cell invites various public and private sectors to Campus Recruitment drives. This enables students to get placement in the most respected organizations.

Several reasons why B.E. / B.Tech are in great demand at the UIT, Burdwan:

To be eligible for B.E./B.Tech. of UIT, Burdwan you should have: 

Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, securing at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates).
Minimum pass marks of 30% in English taken from a recognised board.
Qualify in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination with a competitive rank.

According to one review, the quality of food at the hostel mess of the University Institute of Technology (UIT), The University of Burdwan is good. The mess and canteen at the college are also said to be good. 

UIT is the only government engineering college in the Purba Bardhaman district that is affiliated with the University of Burdwan. Some say that the hostel life at UIT is praised by many students. The college also has a good library, safe laboratories, and good Wi-Fi facilities.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) announced the results for the WBJEE 2024 on June 6, 2024. Candidates can download their results from the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in using their application number and password. 

The WBJEE 2025 exam dates are yet to be released. However, here are some other important dates related to the WBJEE 2025:

Admissions into the B.E programme are granted based on counselling of candidates based on their ranks in WBJEE. Furthermore, lateral entry is offered based on the JELET score. Key points: There are no seats for management quota.

The hostel fee at the University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan is INR 45,200 for a 4-year B.E. course. The one-time admission fee is INR 7,000. The meal plan is not included in the hostel fee. 

The total fee for a 4-year B.E. in Information Technology course at the University Institute of Technology is INR 3.56 lakh. This includes the tuition fee, hostel fee, and one-time payment.
