UC does not charge any application fee from students. To get enrolled for the UG or PG courses at University of Canberra, international students must fulfill the requirements for the particular course along with English language proficiency, standardized scores, and required documents. The University of Canberra expects a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4-point scale from international students. However, GPA is not the crucial factor among the factors considered by UC during admission. Students must hold relevant proof of Australian degree or equivalent for PG or a minimum selection rank, NCEA Level 3/ IB/ GCE A levels for the bachelor's curriculum to improve their chances. In addition, they must take part in extracurricular activities, and community service and involve in research for some programs to increase their selection probability.

International students coming from diverse countries whose first language is not English must submit a minimum PTE score of 50 and 58 for UG and PG admission respectively. With a 72% acceptance rate, the University of Canberra is comparatively easier to get into for international students. However, students must prove themselves by performing exceptionally well in academics and fulfilling the eligibility and requirements expected by the UC.
