No, direct admission to the MBA course at Lucknow University is not possible. To enrol in the course, candidates are obliged to appear and achieve an acceptable score in LUMET, which is one of the university-level management entrance tests. Candidates should know that they cannot appear in the LUMET directly; they should follow the minimum eligibility requirements first, which require candidates' complete their graduation in any stream with an aggregate of acceptable scores.

Lucknow University admissions for the majority of programs are based on scoring obtained in the prescribed entrance tests. The university accepts scores from exams like CUET and CUET-PG for the regular programs. Further, Engineering admissions are based on the basis of JEE Mains exam performance. LU admissions also involve lateral entry and direct admissions for NRI seats in the BTech and MCA programs. Furthermore, the UGPET test also provides admissions to students for courses like BCA, BCom, BBA, etc.

You must have passed the 10+2 (Class 12) examination or equivalent from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Admissions are based on the JEE Main entrance exam score.

  • Register for UPTAC counselling, which is conducted by Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.
  • During UPTAC counselling, you'll need to fill out a choice filling form, indicating your preferred BTech programs and colleges (including Lucknow University) based on your JEE Main rank.
  • UPTAC will allot seats through multiple counselling rounds.
