MNLU Mumbai admits students based solely on their performance in the entrance examination. Those seeking admission to the UG programme at MNLU Mumbai must take the CLAT, while those seeking admission to the PG programme must take the CLAT PG.  For the LLM programme a candidate's eligibility for admission to the LLM programme is determined by their performance on the CLAT as well as the LLB with a 50% score. In order to register for the CLAT, candidates need to visit the official CLAT website. Out of the 50 seats available, there are 10 supernumerary seats under the Foreign National / NRI / NRI Sponsored category and 2 seats reserved for Jammu & Kashmir permanent residents.

The Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai offers the following courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels:

• BA-LLB (Hons.) -Candidates are admitted to the BA-LLB programme based on their CLAT scores and the  fees for this course is Rs.1.53 Lakhs ( first year).
• LLM - Admission to the LLM course is also on the basis of candidates’ performance on the CLAT and the total fees for this course is Rs. 3.79 Lakhs.
• Ph.D. - Admission to the Ph.D. course shall be made through the Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT) which is conducted by the University. Candidates who have qualified for UGC-NET/JRF need not appear in the test and can go straight to the personal interview. The  fees is Rs. 2.12 Lakhs (first year). 

The Maharashtra State Government established the Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai in 2014. A total of 9 courses are offered by the university, including one UG course lasting five years, seven PG courses lasting one to two years, and one doctoral course lasting six years. Fees for various courses offered at Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai are as follows:

• For LL.M. it offers 6 courses with total tuition fees 46.2k-1.2L and for PG Diploma it has 6 courses with total fees including 5k-50k.
• B.A.LL.B. has 1 course with the total tuition fees of 3.2L and for UG Diploma the fees are 15k.
• The total tuition fees for the M.A. are 1.8 L.

• Out of 60 students, 10 get placed with the package of 16 lacks per year at MNLU. According to this statistic, 75% of students were placed through college placement programs.
• Tata Institute of Social Science places 64 students with a salary package of 20 Lacs per year and above. Additionally, 27 students received PPO offers. In TISS, the highest package was 49LPA, while the average package was 27.22LPA and the medium package was around 25LPA. As a result, TISS offers better placement opportunities.
