UNCC offers 170+ UG majors in 70+ programs leading to Bachelor's degrees. Also, 60+ Master's degrees and 20+ Doctoral degrees are also offered. There are 8 colleges at the university and the courses are offered through these colleges only. Study areas for Bachelor's courses are Accounting, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communication Studies, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, etc.  On the other hand, study areas for Graduate courses are Business, Chemistry, Engineering, Psychology, Architecture, Computer Science, etc.

UNC Charlotte is the third the largest university in North Carolina. There are 400+ student organizations at this university, so there is something for everyone. A few of the categories for these student organizations are academic, career skill: communication, career skill: critical thinking, media, international, multicultural, political, etc. In terms of athletics, UNCC is a D1 university and it competes in 19 varsity sports on the NCAA Division I level.

UNCC application fee is USD 85 (Around INR 7,100) for PG students. Whereas, for UG students, the application fee is USD 80 (Around INR 6,700). To apply to UG courses, the applicants can apply via Common App or the direct university portal. On the other hand, for admission to PG courses, the applicants can apply via the direct application form link. A few of the documents that have to be submitted are academic transcripts, LOR, SOP, English language proficiency test score, etc.

Yes, some graduate programs at UNCC require students to submit a GRE score. A few other programs may also ask for GMAT / MAT score. The application process for graduate programs is given below:

  • Research about the programme in which admission has to be taken
  • Then, submit the application form
  • Upload the SOP and transcripts
  • Also, submit the other documents (as required)
  • Enter the details of the recommenders

According to QS rankings, UNC Charlotte ranks at #1001-1200 position in 2026. It was placed at the same rank in the previous year too. However, as per another world-ranking publisher, the university ranks at 601-800 in 2025. In the Best Global Universities category ranking by a ranking publisher, the university ranks at #714 position in 2025

UNCC ranks at #178 position in 2024 in the National Universities category, as per a ranking publisher. In 2023, the university was placed at #219 position. This shows that there has been an improvement in the rankings of the university in the US category. In the context of the Global Universities category, the university ranks at #665 in 2024-25. In the previous year, the university ranked at #676 position.
