Hello dear, both are good options. You only need a graduation degree for appearing in the UPSC and MPSC exam. You may prepare for your UPSC exam during your graduation. Self-study is more preferred than coaching. If you have any doubt, then go for coaching.

Hi, Every Students aspiration is to clear UPSC. You can clear the exams irrespective, which steam you want to pursue in. The actual eligibility for UPSC exams is you need to complete under graduation from recognized board with minimum percentage (which you can easily clear). Suggested way to study is start preparing right now. It is as good as you start early. The preparations for UPSC exams are vast and needs a lot of preparation. 18 hours is what my faculty members use to suggest me for preparation after UG. BA means Bachelors in arts. Jobs opportunities after BA are:
Government entrance exams like SSC CGL, CDS, Bank PO position, jobs in BPO, UPSC examination, etc.

Sociology, syllabus and easily available but if you have command over your graduation subject then I prefer you to go for that. For getting good marks you need to prepare hard for one year atleast and also you can go for coaching. It's the toughest Indian exams for most intellectual minds.
