History subject can be taken as an optional paper for UPSC CSE exam. The History optional subject for UPSC includes two papers of 250 marks each. Since no digital instrument (of any type) is allowed at the UPSC exam centre hence the candidates cannot show the digital copy of their admit card. Moreover it is advisable to take a coloured print out of the UPSC admit card. The exam centre officials will see the admit card and one photo identity proof before allowing entry into the exam centre.
