The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the UPSC Civil Service (prelims) exam on May 24, 2026. The exam will be conducted in two sessions and the General Studies Paper 2 will be qualifying only.

Since there are no restrictions on being a student, you are welcome to apply for the Civil Services coaching programme offered by Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) while you are working toward your degree. You must, however, fulfill the prerequisites for UPSC preparation, which include being at least 21 years old by the Civil Services Exam year. There is no set age limit for the coaching itself.

The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC 2026 exam calendar on its official website - upsc.gov.in. The UPSC calendar 2026 mention all the pages the notification, application and exam dates in the official exam calendar. The UPSC exam calendar 2026 mention the dates of all the exams conducted by UPSC.
The UPSC CSE 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on May 24, 2026.

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the UPSC CSE (IAS) 2025 exam on May 25, 2025 at the designated exam centres across the nation in the offline mode. The candidates should note that the UPSC admit card 2025 is expected in the first week of May 2025.

Yes, a graduate from YCMOU is eligible to attempt UPSC and MPSC exams, if you meet the other eligibility criteria set by the respective examination commissions. Students with bachelor's degree or equivalent from any recognised university are eligible for MPSC. So if you completed your graduation, you are eligible for the exams.
