The NT category candidates require different marks for the UPSC exam every year based on considerations such as the number of applicants, the toughness of the examination, and existing vacancies. Usually, the General category cutoff marks are higher compared to the NT category because of the reservation. But it is necessary to mention that UPSC doesn't provide category-wise cutoffs for every stage (Prelims, Mains, Interview) explicitly. For an idea, you may go through the cutoffs of previous years, but it is recommended to shoot for as high a score as possible.

UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC exam is conducted annually, on 3 levels, to recruit civil servants.

Students who wish to prepare for the UPSC exam alongside their BA course will greatly benefit from pursuing courses like BA Political Science, BA Economics, BA Geography, BA Sociology, and BA Philosophy.

These subjects are a part of the UPSC exam syllabus, and candidates are directly tested in their knowledge of these domains. Studying the same subjects in a classroom, with debates and discussions with professors, will help students develop a deeper insight into the topics and gain a better hold of the subject.

Cracking UPSC from home without any coaching is a tough choice but people can do with hardwork and concentration.

Firstly, identify your objectives and research the requirements like exam pattern and make a study plan and evaluate your strengths and weakness and study from study materials and youtube videos and also refer the old interview videos and pyq's of all exams .

Give practice tests and mocks test and at last stay motivated.

No, 12th marksheet is not required for UPSC if you have done Polytechnic Diploma: Students who have done a two-year course in civil, electrical, or mechanical from a Polytechnic are considered equivalent to 12th pass. Diploma is a different kind of qualification that focuses more on practical skills and training. Diploma holders are often called junior engineers in India. After doing a Diploma in civil engineering, one starts working in junior or assistant positions.
