Even though the exam to be undertaken is popularly known as IAS exam, it is officially called UPSC Civil Services Exam. The UPSC CSE consists of 3 stages Prelims, Mains, and Interview. Getting into Indian Administrative Service is not easy considering the competition involved, but not impossible for a candidate with right attitude and approach.

There is no particular course which can help you crack the UPSC, SSC or any government examination. At max, it can help you in some section of the competitive examination. The subjects of BA such as history, geography, political science can help you in the general studies section of the examination. Further, you can also opt for that honours course which you are planning to take as an optional subject in the civil services examination.

There would be no problem at the interview stage regarding your education though SOL-DU. A lot of aspirants with correspondence background have cracked the examination in the past. At the interview stage, they are more concerned with your suitability and aptitude for services.
