Hi Farheen, UPSC exams can be taken by students from all disciplines however coming from a commerce background you can opt for a Bachelor of Economics program, Economics on the whole covers a huge chunk of topics in UPSC exams. However keep your interest and aptitude when you choose the program. You must excel in your academics. Another option could be B.Com/LLB.

Hi Sunanda,
The fees vary according to different coaching centers faculty, notes, books, and infrastructure. Some of the good coaching centers also provide video as well as offline coaching, which might be more expensive. So, I would recommend you to get in touch with the coaching center for fees and related details and then accordingly make a call.

Hi S Monal,
In both the university, your focus should be on choosing the one which offers best faculty and subject understanding in parallel with the UPSC syllabus. Both Allahabad & BHU are good universities and have produced a large number of civil servants in the country. So, you should weigh your option accordingly taking into consideration your mains optional as well.

Hi Manish,
Airport Customs Officer falls under Group A or Class 1 Officers in Indian Administrative Service. The selection of eligible candidates to this post is carried out through Civil Services Examination (CSAT).
Graduation in any stream from a recognized educational institution is the basic qualification required to attend the exam. Those who pass CSAT can get into the role of customs officer under Indian Customs and Central Excise Services (IC&CES).

Hi Avantika,
Indeed, you are eligible to appear in UPSC examination after completing your Graduation in mass communication. But also keep in mind towards what future you are heading. Mass communication take you some other direction and UPSC or any Civil exam will take you to another. Its better to sit, think and be focused on one rather than keeping things in back up. At the end of the day it has to be you who will be out there working in respective of the choices you make. Just make sure that you keep your focus on one.
All the best.

Hi Sushma,
Both courses are good, it depends on where your interest lies. If you are also planning to take one of these subjects as your mains optional, then I would suggest please go through the UPSC syllabus and previous year question papers of mains stage and then decide which course would be best for you.
