Vasily Lazarev known for being the astronaut who flew the Soyuz 12 spaceflight and the abortive Soyuz 18a launches is a notable alumni of the Ural State Medical University.Lazarev pursued his medical education from Ural State before going on to join the Soviet Air Force.He was also awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union, the Order of Lenin & the title Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR.

The Ural State campus is offers a number of recreational activities to students, such as intramural sports competitions in popular sports such as soccer, snooker, & bowling.

Yes, Ural State Medical University graduates can go on to pursue a medical career in the United States.
However, students must still meet some US specific requirements such as passing the United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) & completing a residency program in a US hospital, to be able to practice in the country.

Yes, USMU is known to offer internship & placement opportunities to its medical students at university affiliated hospitals.
This offers ample opportunity to students to gain some vital hands-on experience with regards to surgery & medicines.
Further, students are also known to travel abroad to practice medicine, as the institute's degrees are valid in most of the countries around the world.

The institute only requires its students to attain the minimum qualifying marks in their NEET exam.
Applicants must also have attained an aggregate score of a minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subjects as part of their Class 12th.
Other admission requirements include, clearance of entrance exams organized by the institute in the subjects of Chemistry & Biology & submission of past educational transcripts, health certificates & ID proofs among others.

The Ural State Medical University is not known to require IELTS or any other English proficiency test scores to grant admissions to international students.
However, the institute does require applicants to clear their entrance exams for the subjects of Chemistry & Biology.
