75% and above is considered safe. SAT or ACT is required too. A good overall performance is required. Scholarships for international students are based on merit. Someone with 60% but excellent extracurricular activities - national level awards/sports etc. May also obtain and a scholarship.

Almost every university does and has one or the other schemes. Scholarships are typically based on merit. If you have an average profile look for universities in top 20 to 50 or 60 to make admission possibilities easier for you. Go through their websites and understand their requirements, aids etc. Applying early and during the first rounds of admission is the key to a successful application.

Hi Sourav,
It is difficult and depends on the university. You should start emailing some universities and find out. Many universities can accept the candidature after a WES evaluation of the degree. Top ranking universities like MIT and Harvard also accept 3-year degrees but they accept a few exceptional students. It is difficult to say since it depends on the admission offices of the university. Your profile must also be a strong one for them to consider.

Hi Sanjay, Yes, this strategy works just fine. You must also prepare for your GRE.
