There are three types of student visa. F-1 visa for academic study, M-1 for vocational training and J-1 for exchange programs.
Eligibility: to get a US student visa, you will need acceptance by a SEVP school, strong finance and a proof of English proficiency.

If you have global affiliations and opportunities in the USA, then UCLA is the one for you, albeit for a very hefty cost.
Go for IIM Ranchi to gain a very cost-effective Indian or greater Asian job market education while you want faster ROI.

In fact NIOS is recognised by Ministry of Education, Government of India and Certificates issued to the examinees are also equivalent and comparable to others like those of CBSE and ICSE.
