No, it is not mandatory to pass an entrance exam to get admission in NFCI Dehradun. Aspirants are selected for admission based on their score in the qualifying exam. Candidates who are selected are required to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

NFCI Dehradun admission to courses is merit-based. The institute considers the scores of the aspirants in the qualifying exam. The minimum eligibility required for all the courses is Class 10. Aspirant who are selected are informed via call or SMS. Selected candidates have to pay the course fee to confirm their seat in the institute.

The DIMS Dehradun MSc fee structure consists of tuition fees, admission fees, and miscellaneous one-time payments. However, one-time payments and the admission fee must be paid only at the time of admission. The tuition fee has to be paid semester-wise. The MSc tuition fee at DIMS Dehradun is INR 2.7 lakh.

The CAP round is the abbreviated term used for the Common Admission Process that is conducted by new and baby IIM's for the ease of candiates. Candidates are shortlisted for the CAP round based on their CAT scores and candidates are required to appear for the GDPI round which is conducted once for the bunch of CAP colleges. IIM Kashipur does participate in the CAP round and has participated in the CAP 2025 as well.

The most recent cutoff rank for B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Roorkee (IITR) was 481 in the 2024 JEE Advanced last round. In 2023, the closing rank was 412, and in 2022, it was 413. These figures are for the All India Quota and the General category.
