Sketching is an added advantage for all the people in creative field but definitely its not mandatory. If you know it, its very useful. You have an option to learn it, but as I said, its not mandatory.

You can learn game designing and VFX even now. Just search for a good institute that teaches these and spare some time for your interests. Also engineering cannot stop the artist in you. Just keep painting bro.

Dear Jithendranath , drawing is normally considered to be an essential part of pre-production & normally VFX is a domain come in post production , hence, though may be directly its not mandatory but drawing is the most powerful tool to visualize an idea. Its not mandatory but definitely it got a huge role to play in creative field and its a big advantage for the people who know to draw :)

Dear Arpit , at a successful completion of the course with a presentable sample demo exhibiting your grip on software application and skills ,you can be absorbed in production house for 3D animation,3D Movie industry, animated tv series & AD's, In gaming industry, In architecture and visualization, In E-Learning, In live action film industry, simulation, product design and modeling , medical animation industry etc.Getting a job should not be a problem I believe. Hi Mukesh , 1st thing is gather maximum information about the industry , its job profiles and scope, skills required in future etc. Try and gather the information from multiple sources , so that you can compare in between . Then you decide an institute which has good track record , speak to them, personally go and visit them , get the details of different courses , ask the + & - of the courses and the differences between them , select a courses that matches your requirement . Check for the fee part and payment option , join it , concentrate on developing your skills to the max. Create an international standard , demo . That's it .

Dear Jithendranath, you are a better person to answer your question , just imagine , from morning to evening what ever you see on your TV screen , almost everything has a contribution of VFX . Specially in past one year almost every 2nd ad on TV has used 3D animation and VFX , so the point is very clear , there is huge scope.
