VIT, Chennai has better placements than Manipal EEE and also, there is more scope in ECE branch. Various companies like Infosys, Cogizant, Wipro come to VIT and hire ECE students also. Average package of ECE students in VIT are 5-6 Lacs per annum.

Hi Barti,
This is the newest campus of VIT and last year, students got CSE below 1 lakh rank easily and I think it's not a better option to take admission in Bhopal campus because fee structure is similar to VIT, Vellore and Chennai campus. And, its infrastructure is not fully completed and it's still under development.
If you think to take admission in VIT, then you should refer Vellore or Chennai campus now and if you are not getting this campus, then you should try for other university or college.
I hope this helps.

In that much rank u will get mechanical in VIT vellore in first category but u will get cse in second or third category.Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get cse till 7000 rank rank but there are 2nd category as well, if you want cse, but you have to pay more for that. The placements in VIT are good .CSE average package goes to 6-7 lakhs per annum

For all branches, the first-year syllabus is pretty much same like physics, chemistry, maths (calculus), EEE, EVS, Ethics and values. Hope this helps.

Here, the placement is decent enough with the packages on an average of 5-6 LPA. The dream packages of around 22-25 LPA (which only 2-3 get from CSE). For the mechanical, the best one can expect in core companies is hardly 20 LPA, and on an average, it touches around 3-4 LPA.

Sorry, it is not possible to get mechanical in the first category, but you may get in the 3rd category. But, you have to pay more fees for that.

Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2018 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in +2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the following categories:
Candidates belonging to SC/ST
Candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura.
Yes, you will get the admission thee in my opinion.
