A rank of 7505 in VITEEE is generally considered good enough for CSE at VIT Vellore, espically since you have been offered a seat in category 4. However, whether it's worth it depends on your priorities and financial situation as category 4 tution fees is higher

With a VITEEE rank of 52,518, you may get admission to branches with lower cutoffs at VIT, such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology, depending on the campus. More competitive branches like Computer Science or Electronics usually require a much higher rank. Your chances improve at VIT Chennai and VIT Vellore campuses for less sought-after courses.

Ranking 23,339 puts you into Category 3 or 4 which does keep many pathways open, but you probably won't get any branches that have high demand:
- YES, Civil Engineering or Biotechnology / Chemical Engineering
- Maybe ECE — possible in Cat 4-5 depending on seats available.
- NO, CSE and top specializations — almost impossible at this Vellore rank.
- NO, EEE and Mechanical — generally rank well beyond 50,000 for admission at Vellore.

If you're a PCB student and want to pursue B.Tech in Biotechnology at VIT? Vellore, you must appear in the VITEE? E exam. You must also have scored at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (50% for SC/ST or North? East). Admission is based on your VITEEE rank followed by counselling.

Registered candidates logged into the VIT OTBS portal at viteee.vit.ac.in using their application number and OTBS password to select their preferred exam date, time slot, and test centre. Slot booking was strictly first? come, first? served.
The VITEEE exam itself was held between April 20 and April 27, 2025, and admit cards became available approximately 48 hours before each booked slot.
