According to the 2024 data, General AI students need a rank of at least 10350 or below to gain admission to any of the BTech CSE courses. Students should know that different categories, rounds, etc., will have different cutoffs accordingly.
Candidates can refer to the table below to know the last round cutoff for the General AI category, sorted from the most to least competitive.

VIT group of institutions has 4 campuses in total - Vellore is the main campus, followed by Chennai, Andhra Pradesh (Amravati), and Bhopal. Vellore and Chennai campuses are the most chosen by students due to their academics, rankings, placements and campus infrastructure.

No, Vellore Institute of Technology calculates overall rank based on the total score achieved out of total marks - 500. There is no requirement to clear each section.

VIT merit list is prepared based on candidate's performance in Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE). To prepare merit list, percentile score is evaluated as exam is conducted in multiple sessions to ensure fairness among papers.

VIT BTech result 2026 will be declared as per the date announced by the officials. As of now, registrations are ongoing. Once the registrations are complete, the authorities will conduct the exam as per the tentative schedule (April 28 to May 3). After the completion of CBT, within one to two weeks, VITEEE 2026 result will be declared on its official website.

Based in tentative schedule released by the VIT Group of Institutions, VITEEE 2026 result is expected to be announced by the second week of May 2026. Only students who had attempted the exam on given slots will be able to access VIT result 2026.

Yes, only the VITEEE scores will be used to prepare the cutoff. Since no other entrance exam score will be accepted for admission, the authorities will prepare the cutoff using the VITEEE scores. While preparing the cutoff, the scores are an integral factor.

Since the exam is held in different slots, there are chances of the papers being of different difficulty levels. To make sure the students are scored fairly, an equating methodology will be followed. The question papers will be marked while following a standardized method to balance the scores.

VIT authorities will release official list of VITEEE 2026 toppers. Top 10 students who have scored highest ranks in examination will be announced as toppers of examination. Performance of candidates will be checked by authorities for ranking.

Students will be able to download the VITEEE result in the form of a rank card. Once the result is displayed after logging in, the result can be downloaded as a VITEEE rank card. During the admission process, a print out of the rank card will be required.
