The result was declared on May 2, 2025. The percentage of passing students is 86.56 percent and previous year pass percentage students is 86.31 percent.

In WBBSE Madhyamik (Class 10), students appear for 7 subjects, and each problem is normally marked out of one hundred. However, the whole marks become 800 because of a specific problem having papers.
Here's the breakdown:
First Language – 100 marks
Second Language – a hundred marks
Mathematics – a hundred marks
Physical Science – a hundred marks
Life Science – a hundred marks
History – a hundred marks
Geography – 100 marks
Optional Elective Subject – a hundred marks
While middle topics are 7 in number, an 8th paper (Elective or Additional problem) is also counted within the total score, making it 800 marks.

It is different for everyone since everyone has their speed. It also depends on the paper- if it's lengthy or not. There is a Cool-off time of 15 minutes in addition to the writing time. Use the 'Cool-off time' to get familiar with questions and to plan your answers. Read questions carefully before answering. Read the instructions carefully and you can analyze your entire question paper, no matter which subject it is, and mentally set time for each section. Since there are MCQs too, you can solve them in the 15-minute cool-off time and thus save a lot of time.

WBBSE releases the WB Madhyamik previous question papers for all subjects on the official website. Students can download them by clicking on the link on this page and start preparing for their upcoming exams. WB Madhyamik board exams 2026 will be conducted between February 2 and 12, 2026.
The Board also releases the WB 10th sample papers. The sample papers also share the latest marking scheme. These sample papers make students familiar with the difficulty level of the exam, the types of questions that will be asked, and more.
