Yes, the board gives sufficient preparation leaves to students for the exams. Students are advised to finish the WB 10th syllabus, and know the exam pattern before the exams begin. They must also solve, analyse and practice the previous years question papers and WBBSE sample papers to be better prepared for the exams. Make notes of all important points while studying and get all the doubts cleared with your friends, teachers etc. This will ensure that you're prepared ahead of time and will help reduce the exam anxiety.

WB Madhyamik routine 2026 was released by the Board in May 2025 on the official website. The exams will be held between February 2 and 12, 2026. Students can visit the website or click on WB Madhyamik routine 2026 to download it. You can also click on the link provided here to stay updated with the exam dates. The WBBSE routine mentions the exam dates and timings for all subjects along with some instructions to be followed by students. Students must take a printout of the date sheet and follow it regularly to finalise their preparation for exams.

In case you are unable to attend a WB madhyamik board exam, you will be awarded zero marks in the subject. Eventually, you will be asked to appear for the compartment exam. Thus, it is better to focus and study hard and not skip or leave your exam and pass with flying colours.

Pariksha pe Charcha was started by PM Narendra Modi in 2018. It talks about combating stress and effective preparation during exams. Time and again, our prime minister has suggested students to stay focused and confident about their preparation. He also advise students not to overstress themselves but rather celebrate exams like festivals.
The West Bengal board results have seen considerate improvement through the years. So, yes, Pariksha pe charcha does help students to remain calm and relaxed during examinations and this has resulted in better performance.

For Class 10th, it is considered to be strict. However, it is said that the checking done by evaluators is linient in comparison to the checking done by them in Class 9, 11 in their schools.
So, if u have covered the entire WB Madhyamik syllabus and your preparation is on point, then you must not worry about the strict checking.
