Yes, if you have a valid JEE Main score, you can be admitted to the B.E./B.Tech programme at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT), Baruipur, Kolkata, without taking the WBJEE. For admission to B.Tech programs, GMIT accepts both WBJEE and JEE Main results. Candidates must fulfill the requirements, which include earning at least 45% of the possible points (40 percent for reserved categories) and passing the Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

As the exam is scheduled on April 27, 2025, the date of the WBJEE 2025 result for admissions to MCKV Institute of Engineering is expected to be announced in June 2025.  Results, comprising scores and ranks, will be published online by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) at wbjeeb.nic.in the form of a rank card. Counseling will start in July 2025, and candidates may see their results by using their application number and password.

Without WBJEE, admission to MCKV Institute of Engineering's B.E./B.Tech programme can be obtained through the management quota or JEE Main scores. For 10% of seats, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score and a 10+2 grade of 45% in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Computer Science (40% for reserved categories). Since the level of WBJEE is similar to the 12th standard qualifying exam, the candidates are advised to refer to their 12th standard books to prepare for WBJEE. Additionally, the students can refer to NCERT books to be well-prepared for the exam. Candidates can also check books which present the topics and concepts to be studied in more detail to have more knowledge to score well in the entrance exam.

During the tie-breaking system, the authorities will follow the guidelines specified officially. If all of the guidelines in the given order fail to break the tie, then finally, the candidate older in age will be given a higher rank than the candidate who is younger.

If two or more candidates secure the same WBJEE score, the authorities will follow the official tie-breaking guidelines to allot ranks to the candidates. The guidelines will be followed the order specified by the authorities to ensure that the candidates are allotted the ranks well.
