No, you cannot get admission at a rank of 7000 at Calcutta University. The Calcutta University cutoff 2024 for the BTech courses at the undergraduate level has been released upto Round 3 seat allotment results. The WBJEE cutoff 2024 for BTech courses ranged between 903 and 3918 for General AI students. So, candidates having a rank of, 7000 cannot not even think of getting admission at Calcutta University. However, for OBC AI category candidates, the required rank to get into Calcutta University is 27788 or below than that.

Yes, if you have a valid JEE Main score, you can be admitted to the B.E./B.Tech programme at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology (GMIT), Baruipur, Kolkata, without taking the WBJEE. For admission to B.Tech programs, GMIT accepts both WBJEE and JEE Main results. Candidates must fulfill the requirements, which include earning at least 45% of the possible points (40 percent for reserved categories) and passing the Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

As the exam is scheduled on April 27, 2025, the date of the WBJEE 2025 result for admissions to MCKV Institute of Engineering is expected to be announced in June 2025. Results, comprising scores and ranks, will be published online by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) at wbjeeb.nic.in the form of a rank card. Counseling will start in July 2025, and candidates may see their results by using their application number and password.

Without WBJEE, admission to MCKV Institute of Engineering's B.E./B.Tech programme can be obtained through the management quota or JEE Main scores. For 10% of seats, candidates must have a valid JEE Main score and a 10+2 grade of 45% in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and Computer Science (40% for reserved categories). As an alternative the management quota (10% of seats) permits direct admission based on eligibility; however it is subject to higher costs and availability and requires applications to be submitted via the college's website or office. During the tie-breaking system, the authorities will follow the guidelines specified officially. If all of the guidelines in the given order fail to break the tie, then finally, the candidate older in age will be given a higher rank than the candidate who is younger.
