UG course selection criteria at DAITM Kolkata are merit-based except BSc in Medical Lab Technology. Students must have compulsory subjects in Mathematics and/ or Biology for the BSc in Medical Lab Technology course. However, candidates who want to pursue MSc course must meet certain requirements as per specialisations, respectively.

According to the information available on the official website, a total of 59 students were placed and 21 companies visited the campus during DAITM Kolkata BBA and BBA Hospital Management placements 2023. Apart from this, a total of 6 companies visited the campus and 11 students were placed during DAITM BMLT placements 2023. The top recruiters during DAITM Kolkata placements 2023 included Amazon, TCS, Wipro and Health Plus Diagnostic  (Garia).

Lalit Suri Hospitality School NCHMCT JEE 2024 Cutoff was released for Round 4. The Cutoff was released for B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration course, for different categories under the AI Quota. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff was closed at 8484. During the LSHS NCHMCT JEE Cutoff 2023, the Round 3 cutoff for General AI category candidates had closed at 10289. Comparing the Cutoff for the latest year with the previous year, the competition has witnessed a fluctuating trend.
