HIT Haldia and Narula Institute of technology both have decent reputations for the CSE branch but HIT Haldia generally has a slight edge in terms of infrastructure, campus facilities, and placement opportunities. HIT Haldia has tie-ups with more core companies and offers better industry exposure whereas Narula is good for location advantage being in Kolkata. If placements and campus life are priorities HIT Haldia might be a better choice but if you prefer being in a metro city Narula can be considered.

West Bengal has a number of colleges providing BA courses at a reasonable price, particularly in government and state-aided colleges. Presidency University, Jadavpur University, Calcutta University-affiliated colleges, and Rabindra Bharati University are some of the colleges that provide quality education at a reasonable fee. There are also a number of district-level government colleges that provide BA courses at reasonable prices.
