BMLT stands for Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology. There are about 29 colleges in West Bengal that offer BMLT course in a full-time mode of study. Out of which,  11 are owned by the Private sector and the rest 7 are owned by the Public sector. Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) is a degree course which deals with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases with the help of laboratory tests. The duration of this course is 3 years and 6 months. BSc Medical Laboratory Technology is similar to the BMLT course.
