Hello Atharva, after completion of your Diploma in engineering you are definitely eligible for getting admission in a lateral mode directly into second year of engineering in any college in Maharashtra from where I suppose you did your Diploma. I am afraid I could not understand which college you are talking about when you said a m u. But it does not matter the procedure remains same every state has its own ruling about lateral mode of admission in Maharashtra it is the directorate of technical education which centrally conducts counselling for admission based on marks obtained in Diploma.
