B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.8

An honest review of Zakir Hussain College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: For the batch of 2024, the placements are not good. One girl is placed in Engineers India Limited with a package of 16 LPA and three boys got selected in Reliance Industries with a limited package of 7 LPA. A few students opted for Masters abroad and the rest are preparing for GATE 2025.
Infrastructure: My Hostel’s name is Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall, it has a lot of greenery. There are good courts available for games and there is a common room for playing carrom. The dining area is good. The Hostel food is not good and they provide both non veg and veg food options. The vegetarian food is good and so is the breakfast.
Faculty: Chemical engineering faculty is not good except for a few professors who have good qualifications. Two exams are conducted per semester and questions are repeated from the previous years. The course curriculum was not good up to the batch of 2024, post which, under the new education policy, the course is modified.

B.A. (Hons.) in Linguistics - Batch of 2027
3.2
2Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Quite dissatisfied because of unequal opportunities for B.A. courses as compared to other courses.
Placements: So basically, there are about 25-30 students enrolled in this course, and none of them willingly took it, including me. The placement of this course is below average; you have to study really hard to get better placement; otherwise, you won't be able to achieve much rather than a degree.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for this course is comparatively low, and in college you would hardly find books related to this course. And if I talk about the hostel, it is far better than the other universities; you can easily accommodate the hostel facility as there are sufficient seats in the hostel, especially for the B.A. course like linguistics. And the quality of food is also satisfactory and hygienic. I will recommend you for this.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, except a few. And the teaching quality is okay, but it could have been better. And if we talk about the semester, it feels like the semester came too quickly, and there isn't enough time. The exams are a bit difficult because there's limited time, but the passing percentage isn't very high. You can pass easily if you study carefully.
Other: I didn't choose this course; I was given it. Few things could be better about this course than making it more practical rather than theoretical. And there are very few fests here; when they do happen, they are quite boring.

All colleges are good, but this is the best for me.
Placements: 20% student getting placed on campus every year. 20000 is the highest package and 5LPA is the average placement. Top companies offer to students. 35 percent student got an internship in my course in Lenskart.com and Realme companies. Senior advisory and manager roles are offered by the company.
Infrastructure: Most of the facilities provided by college such as good Wi-Fi network, air-conditioned library. Good faculty of lab and provide instruments. Hostel have cooler and also provided good food such as biryani and paneer. Cricket game is playing and health centre open in the university.
Faculty: Most of teachers graduate from IIT Delhi and IIT Madras. Teaching quality is yes, it's relevant also students make the industry globally. Difficult to pass the exam because paper level is so high and hard checking by faculty members. 35 percent required for passing.
Other: I choose this course because I am not getting in other college.

B.A. (Hons.) in Hindi - Batch of 2025

An honest review of the Hindi department at AMU.
Placements: If I honestly give my opinion about my department, there are very few chances of placement. Last time in 2016, one Ph.D. scholar got placed in TATA group. There is very little demand for Hindi graduates, which is why there is no placement for graduates and postgraduates.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department and the entire university is fantastic and mind-blowing. The university provides free Wi-Fi internet connection and other facilities. The hostels are very clean and have ample space for long stays. The Maulana Azad Library, the largest in the Indian subcontinent, provides all the necessary books.
Faculty: The teachers are very talented and experienced, and they help and guide us well. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant because it is based on the new education policy and is very helpful for competitive examinations. The semester examinations are conducted like board exams. The passing rate is high because all the students are very talented.

Life at Aligarh Muslim University.
Placements: In my passing batch, around 85% of the students got placed in top companies like Unacademy, IFFCO, Aakash Institute, Zomato, Ambuja, and Awadh Girls College, among others. Also, various companies like FIWE and Delhi offered internship programs. Recently, IFFCO Saudi came for campus placement and offered a pretty good package of about 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: In my course, we have 2 separate classrooms assigned for our lectures and a large, well-equipped laboratory. The entire campus has free Wi-Fi access for all the bona fide students. Maulana Azad Library is the best place to study until 2 a.m. Apart from this, personal seminars are also available in each department. College hostels are really good given the low fees. Meals are good as per the hostelers' wishes.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified, holding degrees from international universities. They have deep knowledge about the subjects that they teach and make learning more enjoyable with regular seminars, assignments/projects, fieldwork, etc. The curriculum is the first thing I checked before admission to this course; it is good as per the exam schedule.
Other: I chose this course because I have always been amazed by daily life activities and everything I eat, I see. I wish the course had more field visits. University is not all about being bookwork; rather, it focuses on providing a wider experience by organizing different types of fests, sports activities, drama, musical fests, and hall weeks to celebrate festivals and anniversaries of famous personalities.
