Both the universities are best in their own way. It depends on the parameter that one considers for differentiating them. Location wise: Jamia Milia Islamia is better, because of the availability of resources for better education like internship offers, coaching centres for other entrance examinations etc. Exposure is more. Course fee: Nominal fee in both the cases. Lower in case of AMU. Hostel wise: AMU provides accommodation to almost all students while Jamia Milia Islamia has lesser seats in hostels. AMU accommodation is cheaper. Campus area: AMU is bigger. Faculty wise: Faculty profile and course content is similar. And both are better than most of the private colleges.

I cannot say specifically about B.E for both the institutes. But if I compare the two, JMI has good exposure as compared to AMU because of being in the capital city. Due to which JMI holds better placement stats. On the other hand, AMU has good infrastructure and teaching staff in core branches. Education fees is cheap at both the places. Rest all depends on your potential.
