Depending on the university, the particular programme, and the entrance exam, different cutoff scores may be needed for the B.Tech degree. Generally speaking, students need to score at least 60% on their 10+2 or comparable exam. Higher marks or scores on entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or other state-level entrance exams, however, might be necessary for competitive programmes at top colleges and universities. The minimum scores required for admission to NITs and IITs for B.Tech programmes can differ depending on the institute, branch, gender, and category. Candidates should make sure they are aware of the exact cutoff scores for the colleges and programmes they are considering, as these can vary from year to year.

A bachelor's degree in computer Science and engineering has a higher placement rate than a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering, which offers lower compensation packages. A computer Science graduate might expect to receive a maximum package of approximately 16 LPA. Approximately 13 LPA is the highest package available to students studying electronics and communication engineering. This is because industry trends and market demand are better for B.Tech students studying computer Science and engineering. These initiatives draw significant IT firms such as Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Cognizant. B.Tech CSE, however, may draw in more tech behemoths like Amazon as well as businesses that specialise in AI and data science. To have access to reports detailing placement rates, typical incomes, and top recruiters for B.Tech CSE and B.Tech ECE, get in touch with CIET's placement office.

Typically, a 12th standard qualification with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required to be eligible for courses like computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering at CIET. But as of right now, the precise admission cutoff percentage is not disclosed. The amount of applications and the candidates' overall performance are only two examples of the many variables that might cause the cutoff percentages to change from year to year.Consequently, even if you might be eligible for consideration with a 70% class 12 score, your final admission status will rely on the particular cutoff for the year you're applying. The most precise and current information on entrance requirements and cutoff percentages can be found by often visiting the official CIET website.
