In the case of DU through CUET, the merit and eligibility of candidates will not be directly influenced by the performance in the 6th additional subject (Math) even at the Class 12 level so long as you meet the mandated CUET subject combination rules, applicable to your DU programme of choice. The DU assigns the merit in accordance to your CUET marks in the specified subjects of a given course, which need not be either your overall Class 12 score, or the marks of other subjects. Yet, when you want to study a particular DU course where Math as a subject is mandatory or desirable, your Math score obtained during the CUET will be imperative.
