The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with at least two courses in Hindi, or a Master's Degree from a recognized University in any of the following: Sanskrit, English, Modern Indian Language (other than Hindi), Linguistics, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Political Science, Buddhist studies, Journalism/Mass Communication. Additionally, the candidate must appear in the respective CUET paper and fulfill the program-specific eligibility. The minimum marks required for general, OBC, and EWS candidates are 50% aggregate in graduation, while for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, it is 45% aggregate in graduation.
