So here's the deal: if you've got an MSc in Maths and now want to do a PhD in Anthropology, you can't jump straight in—you'll need to take a little detour. Most Indian unis (like DU) need you to first have a Master's in Anthropology or something related (like Sociology, Life Sciences, etc.). Since Maths doesn't count, your best bet is to do an MA or MSc in Anthropology first. The good news? Science grads like you are often eligible, and places like DU or IGNOU have low fees. Once you've got that degree (with 55%+ marks), you can apply for a PhD through CUET or NET/JRF, submit a research proposal, and boom; you're in the game. If you can connect your Maths skills to your Anthropology research (think data, analysis, stats), even better. It's not a straight road, but it's totally doable.
