GB Pant University conducts it's own entrance exam every year. You can apply online for it and then keep looking for all the notifications like admit card and date of exam. A merit list will be prepared and according to which admissions are granted. It is the best agriculture university in India , so you have to work hard in order to get admission there.

First of all, you must have either a national rank below 30K or Uttrakhand domicile for GBPUAT because 85% of the total seats are reserved for Uttrakhand candidates, so to secure a seat a domicile is must . Apart from it, you can apply online for counselling, it's usually held by the end of July on the basis of your state rank (if you have a domicile) and the preferences filled you'll get a branch there are 2 online counselling rounds. After each round candidate are asked to report, if one fails to do so the seat is considered to be empty, however, there is a special 3rd round which is offline . It is known as spot round everyone has to report at the university along with their JEE Mains Paper 1 rank, according to your ranks you'll get a branch.

If you are thinking of B.Tech from Govind Ballabh University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar then it depends on the branch you want to opt for. The students in pantnagar has ranks varying from 12,000- 1,10,000 (including spot round+ girls quota -general) based on 2016 All India ranks. For computer engineering and mechanical engineering you need quite a good rank in Uttarakhand around 300. Then for other branches it varies from 400- 800 ( approximately. ). General Eligibility is, Candidate should have cleared his/her Intermediate Agriculture/Science with Mathematics or Biology. And, Admission will be decided on the basis of cutoff marks for UG and Masters programmes for the academic year for qualifying the entrance examination after the declaration of the rank-wise, list of the candidates appeared in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University.
