The branch-wise placement data for BTech courses is not released. As per the combined placement details, out of 697 BTech/ BSc students, 520 were placed during GB Pant University placements 2022. This makes the placement rate nearly 75%. In 2021, the placement rate was comparatively lesser and stood at almost 68%. The University has not released placement data for MCA courses. However, combined placement details are out for the PG (2 years) courses. Out of 323 PG (2 years) graduates, 199 were placed during GBPUAT placements 2022. This makes the placement rate nearly 62%. Earlier, 179 students were placed during 2021 placements, out of 290 graduates. This makes the placement rate nearly 62%. So as per the admission process in B.Sc at GBPUAT there is no strict rule for having better marks in Intermediate, all you need is to secure a good rank in the entrance examination of university (generally held in month of April or may) as per your category.

Expected GBPUAT UG cutoffs in 2023 are projected to range from 500 to 1000 rank for the general category and between 600 to 1200 rank for OBC category candidates.

Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for admission to BSc (Hons) courses. The university also accepts ICAR AIEEA for Agriculture courses. Once the selection process is over for BSc, the university conducts counselling round. The number of counselling rounds will depend on the vacancy of seats. Online counselling for all programmes will be carried out after declaration of results. Aspirants need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

GBPUAT offers admission based on entrance exam score for most of the UG, PG and PhD courses. Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for various UG and PG courses such as MSc, BSc, etc. The university conducts separate exams for UG, PG and MCA programme. Yes, GBPUAT offers MCA for two-years at the PG level. The course is spread across four semesters. Candidates need to pass CA/ BSc with Mathematics from a recognised university/ BSc Information Technology/ BSc Computer Science to apply for GBPUAT MCA programme.

PhD students at GBPUAT are open to fellowship. Two fellowships in each discipline are to be awarded at INR 6,000 per month based on merit to the eligible students admitted in the discipline for 36 months. If the total number of fellowships thus provided are not utilised due to any valid reasons whatsoever, the university shall be free to redistribute the allocation of the vacant fellowship position and award the same to other students who could not be granted fellowship in the first instance due to the
aforesaid restriction of two fellowships in each discipline.

The students have to first apply to College of Agribusiness Management, GBPUAT through online admission portal from the official website. Following the submission of application, the students are shortlisted on the basis of their result in CAT/CMAT. The shortlisted students are then called of GD and PI. The selected students are given admission post paying of the required fee.

Aspiring students wishing to join GBPUAT are required to pay a certain amount as fees. GBPUAT fee structure for all courses consists of various components, namely tuition, security deposit, and hostel fee, etc. Among these components, some are to be paid only once during GBPUAT admission, while the remaining are charged according to the fee guidelines. GBPUAT fee ranges between INR 41,420 - 25,00,000. 

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology offers three-year BSc (Hons) course spread across six semesters. Aspirants must pass intermediate Agriculture/ Science with Mathematics or Biology or equivalent exam with at least 50% aggregate (47.5% aggregate for reserved categories) to apply for GBPUAT BSc (Hons) courses. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

The BSc Agriculture (Hons) course duration is for four-years which is divided into 8 semesters. The final year of the course deals with Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) and Experiential Learning Programme (ELP). The course is delivered in full-time mode.
