The main campus of GGSIPU, Dwarka is good. The labs in the university for the engineering students are equipped with good facilities and equipments. The library is the coolest place to relax in the summers. Attendance is not a major issue as you will find a maximum number of students during the sessional and major exams and that too inside the library. If you are from IT, ECE, MCA or BCA stream, the placements are sure both on and off campus. The canteen is a good place to chill out with your friends. Anugoonj, sports meet and other activities are really enjoyable and full of fun as this is the only time when one is not having exams in IPU. Otherwise, you have to face the minor, major exams, presentations and other course-related activities from the beginning till the end.
Pros:
1) GGSIPU has been the life saver of Delhi students. Without its existence, we would have nowhere to go and I mean it. It is the only university in Delhi providing 85% reservations to Delhiites.
2) The top 5 colleges for the course would have average placements and you would most probably be placed if you do not lie in the last 20 people of your class.
3) Only university in Delhi offering professional courses like B.Tech, BCA, BBA, BJMC and courses in medical sciences, with compulsory internship projects.
4) Clean infrastructure with AC rooms, although small (in private institutes).
5) Geographically covered colleges in almost every region of Delhi-Kapashera, Hamidpur, Tughlakabad, Rithala and the list goes on.
6) Even if you don't get a decent rank in CET entrance, there is an open management quota system to grab a seat in any private college. This assures your admission anyway.
7) The university is 'A' accredited by NAAC which adds to the degree if you apply outside because scoring marks is not tough here.
Cons:
1) The exams in IPU are not checked on your knowledge but on the no. of sheets you fill in the exam.
2) Teachers in IPU only emphasize on completing the syllabus and most of the colleges appoint professors who don't even have a single year of teaching experience.
3) They say that incomplete is a dangerous thing. IPU mainly offers professional courses and what good is that knowledge when we have no idea how to apply for it. I guess this the main reason why people have degrees these days and still they are unemployed.
4) The teachers I would say, most of them are just average and not much concerned with the growth of students in their subjects.
