The overall admission process for an M.Tech in IIT Delhi (regular category) is the same irrespective of your qualifying degree. Write the GATE exam. Wait for the results of the GATE exam to be declared. The PG admissions portal of all the IITs will go live within 10 to 15 days of declaring the results of GATE. Go through the information brochure of each IIT to know the minimum qualification, the specializations that you can apply with your qualifying degree and GATE paper, the selection process, previous year cut-offs, etc. Register yourself at COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) and go through their procedure to know the number of rounds, and tentative dates to view the offers received and exercise your decision on the same. Once you have decided which specializations you want to apply and their preference order, start filling out the admission form. Attend written tests or interviews if you are called for any. Visit COAP to check if you have received any offer from any IIT. If you have received an offer, you will have to exercise one of the below three options Accept and freeze Accept and retain Reject If you select ACCEPT AND RETAIN, REJECT, or did not receive any offer, visit COAP when the next round of offers is uploaded. Once you exercise ACCEPT AND FREEZE on an offer, visit the PG admissions portal of the respective IIT for the remaining procedure.
