Being a foreign student, you can apply through the GMAT score. GMAT score will be used instead of the CAT score for your admission.

However in case you are interested for some private universities or scholarships you can also check out universities like Amity, Lovely Professional University. You can get good amount of scholarship based on your GATE score in these universities and also their placements are somewhere in the top batch.

3. Be regular in studying and clarifying your doubts with teachers.
4. Take lot of mock tests to understand tricky questions.

The fee structure is as follows : 4 Lacs for the whole course. Work Experience is not necessary.

If he thinks that he has x-factor to crack it,and he is ready for super hard work.than it will be the best decision.
But in my opinion if he is getting the nit, which is a among top 4 than he should take admission this year.
